Pizza Face.

Oh yeah. My skin looks like I am a 12-year old boy.

Visible Bump!

Yesterday I woke up and got dressed. Then I sat down on the couch and noticed that there was a definite, pronounced bump happening on my bel'. I tried to take a picture of it so I could post it here and on Myspace, but damned if the digital camera batteries were dead, and refused to take a charge from the battery charger.

I guess its not that bad, seeing as how I still don't look pregnant to the average person, only to people I know. To strangers, I just look like a wino! Haw!

I have been feeling a lot better- no more morning sickness for a while now. But I am extremely tired all the time still and I have to force myself to eat a lot of the time. Al keeps yelling at me because sometimes I will go a whole day without eating very much and not realize it. Seriously, if you listed off all my favorite foods... none of them sound good at all. Cooking food is even worse. I can't stand the smell of food cooking now!

I am feeling a lot of anxiety about whether or not I am gonna be a good mama to TWO babies. I know I am a good mom to Felix, but sometimes I forget that it is not going to be him and me for much longer. I love him so much and I never want him or the new baby to feel like they are second best to the other.

Survey Says...

Like I did with Felix, I signed up at iVillage.com for weekly updates on the progress of the Cub today. Just for fun, I started looking up those fun "how to predict your baby's gender" things. Chinese Birth Chart said girl but ALSO said girl with Felix (then again, Felix did come two weeks early...). There were also some "old wives' tales" ones and here are what they say (and if it pertains to me or not):

It's a boy if:

You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy (False. But with Felix, I had no morning sickness)

Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute (False)

You are carrying the extra weight out front (True, but too soon to tell yet because the bump isn't that big. True with Felix)

Your belly looks like a basketball (Too soon to tell. True with Felix)

Your areolas have darkened considerably (False, and they didn't with Fe)

You are carrying low (Too soon to tell. False with Fe)

You are craving salty or sour foods (False)

You are craving protein -- meats and cheese (False. I craved both of these things with Felix though)

Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy (False)

The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy (False- its about the same)

Your hands are very dry (False)

Your pillow faces north when you sleep (I am directionally challenged by I am pretty sure it faces west)

Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you (not yet, but this was very true with Felix... Al gained about 30-40 pounds)

Pregnancy has you looking better than ever (FALSE! I look terrible, and feel even worse. I looked great with Felix)

Your urine is bright yellow in color (Who looks at their pee?)

Your nose is spreading (What?!)

You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles (False. Didn't have a wedding ring when I was preggers with Fe)

You are having headaches (False on both counts)

You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number (23 +7 = 30)

It's a girl if:

You had morning sickness early in pregnancy (TRUE!)

Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute (TRUE!)

You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear (uh, even when I am not pregnant, unfortch...)

Your left breast is larger than your right breast (TRUE. Al has mentioned this too)

Your hair develops red highlights (I can't tell. I dye it)

You are carrying high (I can't tell yet)

Your belly looks like a watermelon (again, can't tell)

You are craving sweets (TRUE. Popsicles, juice and fruity things)

You are craving fruit (True)

You crave orange juice (TRUE!)

You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy (Totally freakin' true)

You are moodier than usual during pregnancy (TRUE! Ask Al. I am a total suck to be around)

Your face breaks out more than usual (TRUE! Hence the not looking good as normal this time! Ew!)

You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread (False. It doesn't sound horrible. But I don't ever eat them anyway)

Your breasts have really blossomed! (TRUE!)

Your pillow faces south when you sleep (Again, I think its west)

Your urine is a dull yellow color (Beats me)

You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side (True! I just tried it)

You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number (False! Its 30)
